- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess, then dip into beaten eggs, and coat with a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Fry chicken breasts for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Pour marinara sauce over the chicken in the skillet.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly on top of each piece of chicken.
- Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
